Sandor is the younger son of Vilnius Karm, a few years younger than his brother Aspiro. A brief stint in the army as a young man convinced him he wasn't suited for regimented military service, but he did have a taste for danger and adventure. And so, he became a hunter of witches and monsters, seeking out and dealing with magical threats to Karm and Amber. The tales he brought back from his excursions were a big hit with his nephew Lucius - and a source of strife with his more academically-minded brother.
Sandor's absences from Amber grew longer and longer, until about forty years ago. He didn't return from his last hunt until just recently, and he's not quite the man who left - his body's been through some abuse, and his mind, for those who knew him before, doesn't seem quite right.
